An Elegant Equestrian Wedding, Kelsey & Darius. 11/11/13

November 11, 2013. Monday, Veterans day. Barrington Hill proved the be the most ideal & stunning background for this charming equestrian inspired wedding.  The groom had been over seas serving in the US Army for the majority of the planning process, so we can only imagine the huge waive of relief the bride felt to have her man back home, just in time for their nuptials. Kelsey had a very clear vision for her wedding from the get go. We were able to take her vision, and bring it to fruition. Kelsey, a lifelong equestrian, has attended many horse shows here at Barrington Hill Farm, which made it even more special that she turned out to be a Barrington bride. As avid equestrians our selves, what a treat is was to plan a wedding that infused our love for all things equine, and sweet southern details.

On the day of the wedding, Kelsey brought us a tote full of her personal horse accessories, and gave us free reign to incorporate them as we saw fit.  We took the saddle pad for her horse "Jack" and placed it on the gifts table, next to the cards box. The cards box was an antique Jack Daniels Whiskey box, brought in from Lily's collection. We thought it was quite fitting, as her horse's name is Jack ;)

We took Jack's halter and draped it over a photo of  Jack. We added a bit from our barn for a little extra "equine pop". The runners were our burlap with lace trim, along with our handmade boxes. These boxes were hand crafted from actual barn wood in our working horse barn. You don't get more horsey than that! Alicia with Barrington Hill created these beautiful centerpieces with hydrangea's, ranunculus, scabiosa pods, decorative floral cabbage, and white roses. I might also mention that the beautiful farm tables were also handmade by Barrington Hill. These tables were once the walls of our show barn, refurbished into stunning 8x3 tables. (Stunning, but heavy!)

Kelsey also provided us with ribbons she had collected from various horse shows. A few of which she won at Barrington. How cool is that! We incorporated them by placing them on the curtains as tie backs, on a vintage dresser, as well as a vintage ladder. You'll notice on the dresser, we added Jack's bridle around a photo of Kelsey horse showing Jack. Paired with a couple of bits, and an equine vase.

This wedding is such a great example of how we work together with our brides to create truly personal and memorable weddings. It is our mission to listen, and learn about the couple. We want to incorporate anything and everything that makes them unique together. We love to take visions, and ideas, and refine them into a cohesive look that reflects the couple. With the bride's equine accents, and the wedding set on Veterans day, this wedding was the perfect harmony of the bride & groom's individual passions.

We sent the bride and groom off with a surprise fireworks exit :)
Wishing Mr. & Mrs. Radmanesh a lifetime of happiness and adventure. It was a pleasure to work with y'all!
