Congratulations to Brittany & Mike Kohl!

On February 23, 2013 two beautiful people said " I do". Our first wedding of the season, they kicked it off  with a bang. From the beginning, Brittany had a clear vision of her dream wedding. A little bit of country, yet glamorous, a little bit of vintage, yet modern and a whole lot of love. The ceremony began with the beautiful bride floating down the aisle to an acoustic version of fools rush in. The aisle was covered with a layer of peachy pink rose petals and balls of baby's breath hung from Shepard hooks. Brittany found an amazing chandelier on craigslist, re painted it, added some crystal garland and had us hang it in the tree. It was the perfect addition of vintage flare to this lovely ceremony. After the couple said their I do's, the guests were invited to the front lawn for cocktail hour where they enjoyed some great tunes from Tampa's Bay Kings Band. In true country style, the band's stage was a flatbed trailer with two large round hay bales at either end. After a classic introduction down the steps and onto the dance floor the couple shared their first dance. The meal was blessed, dinner was served, and toasts were made. They did not have a cake, but instead had the most adorable cupcakes in the shape of a cake. They eliminated a cake cutting, which gave them more time to dance the night away, and dance they did! They ended a perfect evening with a touching sparkler exit. We could not have asked for better vendors to work with, and the evening could not have gone smoother. The photographer and caterer are two of our favorites, check them out!
So congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Kohl! We wish you eternal love and happiness, and we are so glad we got to be a part of your special day :)

Launching Barrington's Bespoke Brides

Our website is currently under construction, but we are very excited to announce we are revising our packages for a brighter 2013 wedding season! We have put lots of love into the new design of our packages. We already pride ourselves in "weddings as unique as you are" but we've taken it one step further. Barrington's bespoke brides will experience weddings custom designed, just for them. A big part of it is the allure of decor! We're gearing up this season with some new furniture and decor pieces that would bring a style.aficionado to tears. From antique sofas to vintage ironing boards, we've got you covered. Stay tuned for exciting updates & enjoy the sneak peak of the new additions.

Happy one year Nicole & Nick!

Happy one year anniversary to Nicole & Nick!
The team of great vendors responsible for this perfectly purple shindig : Jason Agelini of Jason Angelini Photography, Ashly of Olivier EventsMakeup by AshleyHungry Harry’s for the reception dinner,The Garden Cafe for a chocolate fountain with lots marshmallows, pretzels, strawberries, and other treats for dipping, a DJ from Breezin’ Entertainment and Productions.

The focus color was purple and it was used in the flowers, the wedding party attire, the favor boxes, the up lighting  and even the bride’s shoes.  Nicole and Nick’s guests had a terrific time dancing and partying outside at the reception before the newlyweds left in a sparkler departure. Hope your first year was full of love! Wishing you both many more happy years. :)

Friday : Tip of the week

                                 Signature Drinks

Signature drinks are the ultimate way to personalize your bar. This is one more opportunity to tie your colors into the wedding, while being cost effective. Instead of having a top shelf open bar, serve beer & wine, your signature drink. Just pick one or two (his & hers) of your favorite cocktail, and give it a fun name. Use this as an excuse to make another attraction for your guests to enjoy. If Margaritas are your thing, have a margarita bar and play off the garnishes, you could even make a sculpture out of limes for usable decor :)

The possibilities are endless. I'm tickled pink with signature drinks!
